Después de haber estudiado arquitectura y una especialidad en artes plásticas, Luis Selem se dedicó de lleno a la pintura, llevando ya más de 20 años realizando exposiciones colectivas e individuales en México y Estados Unidos. Además de Zona Maco, ha participado en importantes ferias de arte en Corea, Colombia, Perú y Venezuela. Su obra se encuentra en la colección de HBO y del Museo de Arte de Querétaro.
"A true story" hace culto a todos los objetos cotidianos que la sociedad suele idolatrar. Los desconecta de su verdadera esencia y los protege de las miradas deseosas para romper el vínculo que hace de estos objetos nuestros.

After graduating from architecture and specializing in plastic arts, Luis Selem decided to dedicate himself fully to painting, and for 20 years he has partaken in collective and solo exhibitions in Mexico and the United States. Besides Zona Maco, he has participated in important art fairs in Korea, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. His artwork is found in the HBO collection as well as in Museo de Arte de Querétaro.
"A true story" portrays the everyday objects that society usually worships. It disconnects them from their true essence and protects them from the lustful gazes in order to break the bond that makes these objects ours.
